you are the Industrial Partner and you know your market: tell us about you needs and your wish list. It can be an existing application you want to bring to your region, a new application, a new piece of technology you always dreamt of building. Then our 5 steps process starts:

  • 1. INVENT

    inventing a (scalable) solution to your needs is the cornerstone of our value creation process. We built a dedicated R&D and technology transfer center on the Venice lagoon, the Future Farming Initiative (in the picture) with the vision enhance our in-house R&D skills and act as a bridge between the thriving South-European IP stakeholder eco-system (universities, research institutions, start ups, talents) and market leaders. It’s the playground where the magic happens

  • 2. ENGINEER

    we are not a research institution caring just about scientific publications: we filter new ideas with high TRLs (Technology Readiness Levels) and the potential to become distinctive industrial answers. Through our product engineering process we shape a promising bit of technology into a product or a solution ready for real market application. With one mantra inspired by Leonardo da Vinci: “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”

  • 3. DESIGN

    we chase a sustainable trade-off between complexity and performance: we don't build massive Future Farming solutions from day one but we always see them platforms able to grow over time meeting the market demand: they leverage the flexibility and the modularity of our technology. But technical design is not enough; we carefully project the financial performances of the solutions. Not convincing unit economics? Back to the drawing board. Profitable? Let’s build it!

  • 4. BUILD

    we execute the project together with our Partner acting as a the technical supervisor. When we meet more demand or the need for a new application, we progressively scale-up and configure the capacity, reacting in real time. Do you know that building a modern greenhouse takes more than 2 years from the idea to the moment you start growing? We take much less than two years: this is our formula to mitigate the market risk

  • 5. OPERATE

    we take care of all the technical bits so that everything operates smoothly. And things get even better over time: we infused the most refined scientific and engineering know-how into ROOT. But the daily operations keep on feeding her with millions of data points. So she rewards us by improving the overall performances, growing her knowledge and making our lives every day a bit easier
